Description

Oxgall solution from Schmincke When oxgall solution is added to Schmincke Horadam Watercolours the flow properties of the colour is increased. Ox Gall is a refined, purified extract from the bile taken from the gall bladder of an ox. This natural, historically used material is used to thin water and improve the wetting of Gum Arabic in water colour and gouache. It actually makes water �wetter�! Did you ever have a dark, hard ring form around a soft pool of colour on your painting? Ox Gall can help with that, acting to break the surface tension of water into a sheeting action that overcomes edge-ringing or staining and better wetting means improved flow of washes. Tired of trying to remove streaks from a smooth flow of water colour? Adding Ox Gall, wetting is uniform, meaning that washes flow out evenly and adhere to smooth surfaces without bubbling or streaking. Wetter, thinner water also makes washes stain more deeply into the paper. Normally, Ox Gall is used in small quantities; an average use is 3 to 4 drops per cup of water. However, Ox Gall can be added to water in any amount desired or may be used full strength; it can even be applied to paper and painted on either wet or dry. Such flexibility provides artists with a variety of ways that water colours may be made to flow and adhere to surfaces. If you are unavailable when our delivery partner tries to deliver your order, they will usually try to deliver again the next working day or they will drop a card in to offer you a collection from a local collection point. If you should refuse delivery of goods, or are not available to accept the delivery on both delivery attempts, you will be required to cover any extra costs incurred.

You have 28 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the original packaging.

Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds

Once we have received your item and inspected it we will contact you.

If your return is approved, we will initiate an immediate exchange or refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.

Shipping

Products returned by you because of a defect will be refunded in full, including a refund of the delivery charges for sending the item to you and the cost incurred by you in returning the item to us.

Products returned by you within the seven-day cooling-off period will be refunded in full, including the cost of sending the item to you. However, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.
