Description

Da Vinci MAESTRO 2 Bristle Brushes - Round - Series 5723

The care and attention to detail in the making of the Maestro 2 bristle brushes perfectly demonstrates the best traditions of craftsmanship combined with the clever technical advances from the famous brush company Da Vinci, founded in the 19th Century.

The ‘Round’ shape is very useful in the smaller sizes for detail and precision work and a popular painterly mark maker in the larger sizes. The interlocking of the bristles when equal portions of filaments are set in the round, with the natural curve turned inward, ensures strong , long lasting brushes with good bounce and pliability. Another sign of quality with the Da Vinci Maestro 2 bristle brushes is the deep implantation of the filaments into each ferrule ensuring a stable, firm shape.

Our testing of the Maestro 2 hog bristle brushes shows good paint holding capacity and the ability for each brush to hold its shape when under pressure.

Da Vinci use Chungking bristles in the manufacture of Maestro 2 brushes which are white and especially strong and will cope with intensive use. The bristles are named after the Chinese city of Chungking. Bristle brushes tend to show the paint strokes and can be used for oil paints, acrylic paints as well as being popular for fresco and mural painting.
